Engineering and Applied Science

At the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science, we are preparing the next generation of leaders for an evolving, technology-driven world. Today, generosity from alumni and friends like you helps turn that commitment into action.

For this Day of Giving, the college has identified several priority funds that address two of our core tenets: elevating student success and accelerating research. Each one is designed to make a direct impact today, while also strengthening CEAS for the future. You are also welcome to support the UC Fund for CEAS or another fund that is most meaningful to you.

For more than 100 years, CEAS has led the way in experiential education—pioneering the cooperative education model that integrates classroom learning with real-world experience. With your help today, we can continue to provide students with real-world experiences that amplify the value of their education and prepare them to lead, innovate, and serve.

Double your impact with a UC Day of Giving Match

  • Gifts to the CEAS Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund will be matched by the CEAS Alumni Board, up to $5,000. One of only a handful of scholarships available to upperclassmen, these funds provide critical support to students who are no longer on co-op and offers financial support during their final year on-campus.
  • The Professor Randall J. Allemang Endowed Faculty Support Fund and the David L. Brown, PhD Memorial Endowment Fund were created in memory of alumni and beloved former professors Randall J. Allemang, PhD and David L. Brown, PhD. Gifts to the Professor Randall J. Allemang Endowed Faculty Support Fund will go to establishing a permanently endowed professorship in the Mechanical Engineering department. Gifts to the David L. Brown, PhD Memorial Endowment Fund will go to a permanently endowed graduate student support fund, which will provide funding for scholarships, fellowships, travel and equipment purchases that enhance the research of the holder of the Randall J. Allemang Endowed Professorship in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Additional Funds that need your support

  • UC Fund for CEAS provides unrestricted funds that allow us to support the areas of greatest need. It takes great resources to foster an environment where critical research efforts can drive new breakthroughs in science and technology, as well as recruiting new faculty to teach and lead research while also retaining staff who are dedicated to being leaders in their field.
