The Summer Public Interest Fellowship (SPIF) helps to fund law students serving in unpaid legal positions with organizations representing the public, the poor and the underserved.
SPIF is a perfect example of a project that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of students and the community. SPIF funding allows students to gain important legal experience while helping underrepresented communities within Cincinnati and across the country.
Public interest lawyers work with poor and marginalized populations to give them access to the legal system. SPIF is a critical element in training law students to become public interest lawyers.
