A global day of unity and giving in response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
In the past couple of months we have seen the UC family rally behind UC and UC Health like never before. The UC Student Emergency Fund and the UC Health Crisis Response Fund have received tremendous support and consequently have already made a significant impact on our students, caregivers, and our community.
In addition to the immediate, emergency need for our students, we now have an increased need for financial aid support as we prepare for our students to continue their learning. The pandemic has taken a significant toll on the local and global economy, changing the financial position of our current and prospective Bearcats. To ensure that all our students can continue enrollment and complete their degrees, we are asking for support to the UC Fund for Scholarships and other need-based scholarship funds.
UC Health and its wonderful staff and clinicians have been on the frontlines of this crisis, truly making our city and region proud. The Crisis Response Fund will support the immediate and ongoing needs of UC Health clinicians and staff as they continue to understand, treat and prevent the spread of COVID-19. The Greater Cincinnati community has stepped up in a big way to support this effort, and as the situation changes, it is important that we are prepared to help stabilize our community.
