EnableUC is a student-run volunteer organization that makes 3D printed medical devices ranging from pediatric prosthetics to assistive devices for traumatic brain injury. The group provides functional and cost-effective devices that enable patients to overcome disabilities — all for free.
Established by University of Cincinnati biomedical engineering students in 2015, the group seeks to utilize 3D printing to bridge the gap between engineering and medicine. By providing resources and promoting educational outreach, we enable students to design, build and implement solutions that directly benefit patients with disabilities.
Having just completed making a hand prosthetic for a patient in Bolivia, the group is currently working on the following:
In order to continue to offer the prosthetics and assistive devices to patients who desperately need this care, funding is needed for equipment and materials. By making a tax-deductible donation to this fund, you are directly supporting our patients and furthering the education of our students.
UC and UC Health employees can give via payroll deduction today!
