Since its founding in 2011, the Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic (ECDC) — a teaching clinic where third-year law students work under the supervision of its licensed director — has offered free legal advice to over 400 small businesses and entrepreneurs, providing more than $1.4 million worth of legal services to the regional business community.
ECDC is a clinic within the College of Law that provides students with real world experience working with clients, and also helps local small businesses and entrepreneurs with legal assistance, at no cost to them. Third-year law students work in two-person teams each semester representing local businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs, on transactional legal issues critical to their success. The ECDC helps these small businesses to stay afloat, which is very important at this time in our world.
Your support would help sustain the program and provide a stipend for student fellows working over the summer with small businesses.
