John C. Byrd, MD Leukemia Research Fund

The John C. Byrd, MD Leukemia Research Fund supports transformative blood cancer research efforts for the Cincinnati community.

Dr. Byrd is a board-certified hematologist specializing in the care of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). He leads a laboratory that focuses on translational immune and molecular pharmacology. His work with ibrutinib was transformative in eliminating the use of chemotherapy in most patients with CLL and changing the natural history of this disease.

A gift to the John C. Byrd, MD Leukemia Research Fund supports blood cancer research and supports the program.
