Gen-1/1MPACT House

The Gen-1 Living-Learning Community supports Pell-eligible, first-generation college students through high-intensity advising, academic courses, and co-curricular experiences to ensure their academic success. 1MPACT House is a Living-Learning Center that supports approximately 50 first-year students who are either first-generation, low-income, or underrepresented minorities.

Gen-1 and 1MPACT House students will:

Experience a positive, nurturing living and learning community that supports academic and social development.
Develop a supportive network of allies across UC’s campuses to provide academic, social and financial resources.
Be educated with regard to the college culture in order to increase their chances of success in a post-secondary academic environment.
