Why support the College of Arts and Sciences on UC Day of Giving?
The faculty, staff, and students in the College of Arts and Sciences provide immense value to both the city and the nation. The college leads initiatives that contribute to changing the world—whether through enhancing science literacy in our communities, collaborating with community members to create improved social structures, or advancing understanding at the interface of humans and AI, our influence is both widespread and profound. As the largest college within this urban, thriving Research 1 university, we have been a cornerstone of the University of Cincinnati since its inception in 1819. We offer a liberal arts education to over 7,900 undergraduate and 700 graduate students. With more than 400 faculty members and 70+ degree programs spanning the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities, the college is at the forefront of fostering academic excellence, societal impact, and innovation.
Donors like you make a difference in the College of Arts and Sciences every day, yet our transformational journey is far from complete. To achieve our vision, we rely on the ongoing support of alumni and friends who are committed to helping create a better tomorrow. Your continued philanthropy is deeply appreciated and essential to our mission.
Double your impact with a UC Day of Giving Match
Dean James Mack of the College of Arts and Sciences has issued a challenge to raise $2,000 for the Arts & Sciences Global Citizenship Innovation Fund. Dean Mack, who is passionate about helping A&S students obtain passports, is contributing $10,000 if the challenge is successful.
The fund covers a range of international travel expenses, such as airfare, lodging, meals, and the possibility of helping students cover the cost of obtaining a passport. By addressing these financial barriers, the college hopes to make studying abroad more accessible.
