The decade ahead will test the nation's more than 4 million nurses in new and complex ways. As the largest segment of all health care professions and the most frequent line of contact with patients of all backgrounds and experiences in an array of settings, nursing is well-positioned to reduce inequities and support people in achieving their full health potential. By strengthening nursing capacity and expertise, we can help prepare a nursing workforce ready to create and contribute to equitable health care accessible to everyone.

All gifts to the Susan R. Opas College of Nursing Simulation Fund will be matched up to $2,500 by Susan R. Opas. The simulation fund will support the college’s various simulation needs that will allow students continued and enhanced simulation experiences in the labs.

Gifts to the UC Fund for Nursing equip us with the resources needed to educate a diverse, culturally humble group of nurse leaders who graduate ready to act as patient advocates, partnering with communities to co-create strategies to promote health equity.
Gifts to the Torch of Excellence Nursing Awards Fund provide scholarships to deserving and qualified undergrad students each year.
Gifts to the Greer Glazer Endowed Chair for Diversity Equity and Inclusive Excellence will allow us to support our DE&I efforts, ensuring our initiatives increase the cultural humility of our faculty, staff, and students.
