Why support the College of Arts and Sciences on UC Day of Giving?
The College of Arts and Sciences is the University of Cincinnati’s largest and most diverse college, providing a liberal arts education to more than 7,500 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students. Since its beginnings in 1819, the College of Arts and Sciences has grown to become the mainstay of an urban, thriving Research 1 university with more than 400 faculty, offering 70+ degree programs in natural sciences, social sciences and the humanities. Donors like you make a difference in the College Arts and Sciences every day but our transformational journey is far from complete. To reach our vision, we need the ongoing support of alumni and friends who believe in the life-changing impact of a high-quality liberal arts education. Your continued philanthropy is deeply appreciated.

Hear how A&S Emergency Support funding helped Biology major Brianna Mack ’22 continue on her path to graduation:
“I am honored to have received funding from the Emergency Support Fund provided by the College of Arts and Sciences. The past year has been hard for many and a huge challenge in adapting to a new reality. Financial stress exacerbated by the pandemic added to the pressures of an already demanding college life. Last semester, some issues arose that caused me to owe extra money to the university that was not covered by my grants or aid. I am very grateful for the assistance provided by Dean Holstrom and the Emergency Relief Fund as it alleviated some financial stress in my situation! I hope other students who may be in circumstances similar or much worse than mine will be provided the same opportunity to receive assistance so they can continue their journey at the University without interrupting their progress. I want to thank Dean Holstrom and her team behind the Emergency Support Fund again for all their support!” – Brianna Mack ’22, Biology
