Educating Outstanding Pharmacists and Researchers
At the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy, the generosity of alumni and donors like you is helping bring our vision to life.
We are committed to providing a curriculum that offers diverse learning opportunities, representative of the patients we serve. Continuing this mission requires your support, as we set our sights even higher, building upon our current achievements.
To accommodate a changing educational landscape, we have instituted new programs, including distance-learning programs that are the first of their kind. Regardless of how we deliver rigorous education to our students, our core purpose remains to educate outstanding pharmacists and researchers.
I encourage you to support the following funds, which allow us to respond quickly to developing needs:
- Gifts to the UC Fund for Pharmacy enable our students to become pharmacy leaders through collaborative research and real-world experience.
- Gifts to the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy Staff Development Fund provide awards to staff in the College to support expenses related to professional and leadership development.
- Gifts to the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy Research and Innovation Fund enhance the entire research enterprise and fund pilot programs, bridge funding, equipment purchase, repair, and other needs of the researchers. All gifts to this fund, up to $2,000, will be matched by Interim Dean Pam Heaton.
- Gifts to the Dr. J. Leon and Beverly Lichtin Cosmetic Science Endowment Fund support the cosmetic science program.
- Gifts to the Charitable Pharmacy Residency Program Fund support the post-graduate year one charitable pharmacy residency program currently operated at St. Vincent DePaul Charitable Pharmacy.
- Gifts to the Daniel Acosta, Jr. Endowment for Diverse Students in Pharmacy helps provide scholarships to students seeking a PharmD or Pharmaceutical Sciences degree from a diverse background, based upon factors, including, but not limited to, socio-economic status, parental education, cultural awareness, and history of overcoming adversity.
Vision: Lead. Care. Transform.
