Urban Health Project

Do you remember impactful learning experiences that you had in college? And how they influenced and molded you? A gift to the University Honors Program (UHP) can help a student have their own impactful experiences.

The University Honors Program (UHP) develops students into global citizen scholars who lead innovative efforts toward solving the world’s complex problems. We offer an individualized, student-centered approach to a meaningful undergraduate experience that compliments the outstanding education that students receive in their colleges and majors.

UHP students create pathways through the program that are unique to their individual interests, goals, and aspirations. Each student’s UHP experience is about discovering and diving into their passions and strengthening their gifts and talents. It is about challenging themselves to try new things and learn in areas that they otherwise might not have. It is about applying their knowledge and skills in interdisciplinary real-world settings.

We are a university-wide academic program of around 1500 students from all of UC’s undergraduate colleges.

Your gifts support students as they pursue their honors experiences. Gifts to the UHP provide support for:

  • Grants to students pursuing honors experiences such as study abroad.
  • Grants to students presenting at academic or professional conferences.
  • Funding for undergraduate research through our UHP Discover program.
  • Resources for honors seminars, including experience-based learning components such as field trips, materials for class projects, admission to museums or performances, material for creating prototypes in the Makerspace, and more.
