Friends of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) is dedicated to supporting the activities, development and growth of the Department of WGSS at the University of Cincinnati. We are committed to disseminating knowledge about women's achievements, needs, and aspirations to the broader community and support advances in racial, gender, and social justice.
Educating people in the United States and around the world about racial, gender, and social justice continues to be urgently needed. WGSS faculty offer students and community members courses and opportunities for education about racial, gender, and social justice issues and how to work toward a more equitable future locally and globally. Faculty also conduct path-breaking research on racial, gender, and social justice that models how people can create sustainable social change.
UC’s Department of Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies has had an impact on the University of Cincinnati and Greater Cincinnati communities through championing collaborative research and education focused on social change. Friends of WGSS supports the department’s research and educational mission, our dedicated students and faculty, and the incredible work they do to create a more equitable future.
