University of Cincinnati Racing

All three of UC’s racing teams collaborate through the University of Cincinnati Racing “umbrella”, linked by our senior capstone course, Auto Design. All three teams are student organizations on campus open to all years and majors as well as being available as an engineering senior capstone, allowing students to satisfy their graduation requirements by getting to design and build a brand new race car every year.

Bearcat Motorsports is the FSAE IC team at UC. We design, fundraise, build, and compete in the Formula SAE Internal Combustion competition against other universities from all over the world. Our exciting announcement for the 2024 season is that we will be traveling to Europe in late July to compete in the Formula Student East event in Hungary. This will be our first European competition since 2007 and first international competition since 2019, and we're thrilled to represent ourselves and our partners while competing on the big stage!

Bearcat Electric Vehicle (BEV) is UC's FSAE Electric team dedicated to competing in the FSAE Formula Electric competition. We built our first-ever car last year, and EV2 continues to build a brand new legacy of EV racing here at UC. Bearcat Electric Vehicle provides a unique opportunity for innovation, sustainable transportation, engineering excellence, and the excitement of cutting-edge electric vehicle technology. This year, BEV will compete in the EV class at Formula Hybrid in New Hampshire and intends to compete at the Michigan FSAE Electric competition if the wait list goes in our favor.

Bearcat Baja is the third and final SAE team at UC. Each year, Bearcat Baja will design and build a new car to compete against other universities from across the world in a series of events. The pinnacle of the competition is a 4-hour wheel to wheel endurance race the last day of competition. Last year, Bearcat Baja made our first appearance after nearly 10 years of being absent! This has come after much hard work and growth within the team. We have more than doubled our membership consistently every season to get to the 30 underclassmen and seniors who make up the team today. This year, we are headed to compete in Pennsylvania at the Williamsport competition.

Donating to this fund will allow the University of Cincinnati Racing teams to continue their growth through the 2024 competition season and into the 2024-2025 school year! If you would like your donation to go to a specific fund, please reach out to a team member of that team directly or to that team’s social media page and let them know the amount of your donation so it can be sent to that team as needed! If you have no preference, your donation will be split evenly between the three!
