UC Women's Center is celebrating 45 years of advocating for women students, leading dialogue and action on gender justice, and developing the next generation of change agents.
Founded in 1978, we are one of the longest sustainably running campus-based women’s centers in the United States. Year-round, we offer programs, speakers, and events that educate our campus community about issues impacting diverse women and inspire a collective commitment to dismantling interlocking systems of oppression.
We also house UC’s longest-running award tradition, the prestigious C-Ring Leadership Award. More than 100 years old, the C-Ring has been awarded annually since 1922 to one outstanding graduating senior woman or gender expansive student. The winner of this award exemplifies academic excellence, community service, leadership, and advocacy for women, girls, and gender justice.
