The Timothy Freeman, MD, Center for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities provides specialized, coordinated, patient-centered healthcare for patients with IDD. Dr. Timothy Freeman dedicated his career to advocating and caring for the IDD patient population, and he curated a centralized location for all patients to feel comfortable and welcome. Dr. Lauren Wang and the Freeman Center team continue to honor Dr. Freeman's legacy through their coordinated effort to expand their footprint.
The IDD community often faces unique challenges in accessing appropriate healthcare services. By providing a medical home, the Freeman Center is filling a critical gap in the healthcare system, catering to a vulnerable and underserved population. The center is currently caring for over 1,000 patients with an additional 1,200 and counting awaiting transition from CCMC. The Freeman Center is the only clinic of its kind operating within the area.
