Founded in April 1926, The Woman’s Club of the University of Cincinnati seeks to promote friendship among its members; provide opportunities for personal enrichment through organized intellectual, cultural, and recreational activities; and support the interests of the university through our scholarship program and community service projects. Membership is open to all current and retired faculty, administrators, and other staff affiliated with the university; spouses, widows, widowers, and domestic partners of such individuals; alumni; and other individuals who wish to support the interests of the university and The Woman’s Club.
Each year, The Woman's Club Scholarship provides a third of tuition for two or three female students and is renewable every year depending on GPA requirements. The scholarship is one of the oldest scholarships for female students at UC.
Josephine Simrall, Founder of the Woman's Club of the University
of Cincinnati, was the Dean of Women from 1921-1933.
